Thank you for your interest in earning a certificate in Educational Interpreting! We are excited to support your professional growth and your role in empowering multilingual students and families in K12 schools. 

We offer both the Tier II and Tier III Educational Spoken Language Interpreter certificate courses as DESE Approved Providers. Be sure to familiarize yourself with each tier to learn which is a fit for you at this time.

Who Can Enroll?
We offer both the Tier II and Tier III Educational Spoken Language Interpreter certificate courses as DESE Approved Providers. Each tier has separate prerequisites. Be sure to familiarize yourself with each tier to learn which is a fit for you at this time. 

We also offer a Combo Course, for those who already know they wish to complete both Tier II and Tier III back to back and would welcome this efficient combination course format. This  interactive course runs for 15 consecutive weeks and is designed to help you master the techniques, principles and practices of both Tier 2 and Tier 3 educational interpreting. Successful completion of the course earns participants both a Tier 2 and a Tier 3 Certificate (two separate certificates issued to the participant). Already have certification in medical or legal interpreting? You have the option of a shorter track within this same course, to still earn both Tier 2 and Tier 3 Educational Interpreting certificates. 

What is the cost of each course?
The Tier II Course has a cost of $1,100. It is a 40 hour course and qualifies for 26 PDPs issued by DESE. 

The Tier III Course has a cost of $1,350. It is a 40 hour course and qualifies for 28 PDPs issued by DESE. 

The Combo Course has a cost of $2,250. It is an 80 hour course and will result in the PDPs of both Tier 2 and Tier 3, issued by DESE.
